Fundraising Ideas
Fundraising is an excellent way of raising both awareness and funds for
our charities.
If you are concerned about passing around a sponsorship form to friends,
family and colleagues, then please don't worry. There are lots
of exciting ways to fundraise as we found out from some of last years
entrants.
Last year,
Angie Shaw hosted a "Cupcakes and Cocktails" party. She charged
£10 a ticket and invited friends and family along and asked them to
donate home bakes which were sold on the night. She also held a
raffle and raised a fantastic £1,100. Well done Angie!
We even had some young entrenuers who wanted to help raise money for
Bling Fling charities and so they took a table at their local church car boot
sale and raised a fabulous £140 while clearing out their unwanted toys and clothes –
fantastic job girls - thank you!
Top Fundraising Ideas
- Bling Fling Sing-Along
Invite your friends round for a fun night of songs X-Factor Style and charge them to participate and maybe charge a penalty for those out of tune!
- "Pink" Party
Serve pink food and refreshments and ask your guests to wear something pink. Charge an entry fee or hold a small raffle on the night.
- Cupcakes & Cocktails
Party
Invite friends round for cupcakes and cocktails, like Angie above. Charge an entry fee or charge per cake/cocktail.
- Bling Fling Diner Party
Host a dinner party at home and ask friends for a donation (the amount they would pay if eating out). A great chance to catch up with friends and raise money too.
- Pamper Party
Ask friends to share their beauty treatment secrets and pay to be pampered by each other. A fantastic way to raise money and relax with friends and sparkle too.
- Party Plan Fundraising Party
Many party plan companies, like Vie At Home, Jamie at Home or Bodyshop at Home can offer you a fundraising party where they donate a percentage of their sales to your chosen charity. So you can raise funds and shop at the same time!
- Car Boot Sale
A fantastic way to raise funds and have a clear out! Check out your local community for a sale near you.
- Matched Giving Scheme
If your employer adopts a Matched Giving Scheme it's a fantastic way to double your money.

Just Giving is a fantastic online donation site which you can create your own page in a few easy steps to personalise and send out to all your email contacts.
