What is the Bling Fling?

The Bling Fling is a 10K charity walk along the old Deeside Railway Line, all dressed up in a tiara and trainers, followed by the best party in town in the beautiful surroundings of the Duthie Park’s Winter Gardens.

Like last year we are continuing to support Prof Heys and his team into Breast Cancer Research and Care at ARI.   Also to assist Archway, to fund social activities, outings and special equipment  for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities in Aberdeen and the North East.

The Charity Walk & Party
Now in its fourth year of fundraising, Bling Fling 4, takes place on Sunday 13th May at the Duthie Park in Aberdeen, and includes a 10K walk to Cults and back along the old Deeside Railway Line, followed by a party at the Winter Gardens.

The Bling Fling is all about getting together with friends and having fun. We suggest you walk in teams, dress up to suit your team name and, of course, stick to our dress code which is tiaras and trainers.

The walk has a great atmosphere, with lots of singing and chat on the way, and then we don’t just let you go home... oh no, we reward the walkers with a fantastic party at the Winter Gardens.

The After Party
Bling Fling puts the fun back into fundraising, and we do it in style at a party in the beautiful setting of the Duthie Park Winter Gardens. The Bling Fling team organises local entertainers, therapists and food and pink fizz to entertain anyone who signs up to do the walk. The main emphasis on the day is fun. The fact that the Bling Flingers have raised so much money for our charities over the last few years has been the icing on the cake.
